Cuntryliving Magazine printing
The JCR notes that...
1. This JCR notes that Cuntryliving zine is one of the most popular and well known student magazines in Oxford, giving a platform to marginalised groups as well as organising club nights, house parties and other fun activities.
2. This JCR notes that Cuntryliving is a fully student funded and student run organisation which, unlike other magazines, receives no money from Oxford Student Publications Ltd (OSPL)
3. This JCR notes that Cuntryliving gives a huge chunk of the money it makes to charities and local businesses, as well as keeping most of our events free or very cheap so that they remain accesible for all students
4. For the past 10 years, Cuntryliving has survived financially largely due to JCR fundraising and college funds
The JCR believes that...
1. It would be a shame if Cuntryliving, an intersectional feminist grassroots magazine, was unable to maintain our presence in Oxford due to a lack of funding from the university
2. The student community really appreciates the work Cuntryliving does by subverting the journalism scene in Oxford and existing as a space for students from all backgrounds to come together
The JCR proposes that...
1. The JCR grants me, as Editor-in-Chief of Cuntryliving, a small sum of £200 to print and distribute our magazine this term
Thank you!
