The JCR notes that...

I. Members of the JCR committee receive little reward for the work they put in to ensuring the college runs smoothly.

II. Many other colleges offer ballot privileges as a gesture of thanks to committee members. (Exeter, Christ Church, Regent's Park, Queen's, Brasenose, Lincoln, Corpus Christi, St John's all responded saying they receive some sort of room privilege.)

The JCR believes that...

I. It would be a good thing to do to reward committee members at the end of their tenure.

II. This would help motivate people to run for JCR positions and ensure that the JCR runs smoothly.

The JCR proposes that...

I. The executive committee are guaranteed to finish in the top 25% of the third-year ballot, and the welfare reps, entz reps, hall and accom reps (if applicable), and Academic Affairs officer finish in the top 50%. These are positions that sit on College committees, or regularly meet with College staff.

II. This will be effective starting 2027.
